Events and Global Participation

A: Thamini Jamii Organization attended COP 29 represented by our executive director as selected as one of the participants representing Tanzania at COP 29, Baku Azerbaijan from 11-22, November, reaffirming our dedication to global climate action and advocacy on an international platform through Green Samia Foundation. the 29th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), was a pivotal global event, serving as the only multilateral platform for decision-making on climate action

B: Thamini Jamii Organization attended the International Year of the Family (IYF+30) Conference represented by our executive director, Doha, Qatar. The event kicked off with a Youth Summit on October 29, hosted by Qatar Debate Center providing an incredible platform for young minds to bring fresh perspectives and ideas on the challenges and opportunities facing families today. The main conference, held on October 30-31 organized by the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) at Qatar National Convention Centre.

C: Thamini Jamii Organization attended COP 28, represented by our executive director, as selected as one of the participants representing Tanzania at COP 28 in Dubai, reaffirming our dedication to global climate action and advocacy on an international platform. The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly known as COP28, was the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference, held from 30 November to 12 December at Expo City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
